Does anyone have any advice on double strollers? Since Joshua and the new baby will be about 18 months apart I have been researching and pricing double strollers, but it seems they are not only very expensive but also come with mixed reviews.
We're leaning towards getting the Graco Duo-Glide Metropolitan stroller and car seat as there seem to be more good reviews than bad about this particular brand and model but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or opinions on this matter?!?
Please help!!

I don't know stroller brands really well...but Ben is 2 and a half and still ALWAYS goes in his cheap 13$ umbrella stroller. After they learn to walk...EVERYWHERE...the fun seems to wear off. I like the strollers where the older child can stand on the back...if they feel like standing. There are convertible ones in a bassinet type the two can snuggle in. They have them all over here in Europe. I bought one second hand once...GREAT...but the airport lost it:(
My girlfriend has a double stroller for her kids. They are similar in ages to your two. Well, I mean similarly spaced apart. I'll ask her what kind it is because she loves it. There is a seat on the back wehere the big one can sit, and then it changes into an area where the big one can stand.
You may want to ask Debbie from church. She did all the research on double strollers for the twins.
I saw this AWESOME double stroller once. it looks like a normal single stroller where the older kid sits facing out. but on the back there is an "undertray" type place where you put a baby. so it is the size of one, but holds two kids. the person said she got is at baby's world in coquitlam (along the highway near the new IKEA)
I have seen each of these kinds of double strollers too. My only concerns are that the one with the standing ledge may be too old for Joshua still. He needs, on occasion, to be securely belted into the stroller! And the one Myn mentions, with the underbasket, seems to work best when one baby is really little and doesn't yet want to look out of the stroller. I'm not sure if it would work when the kids are 2 and 1...
See what I mean, there's too much different information and conflicting reviews out there! :P
I know someone who had the kind of stoller Muryn's taking about. The girls are about two years in age and the stroller worked for about a year and a half. Sometimes the older one liked to be underneath if she was having a bad day ( or just wanted to hide:)) It might be worth looking into, even though they're expensive.
